Scarlett Johansson is taking advantage of the quiet time in Hollywood during the lockdown.
The 35-year-old movie star, who was supposed to be busy promoting her upcoming film Black Widow this summer, was seen having a laid-back outing at a farmer’s market in the Hamptons, New York. Scarlett was sporting a chic blue polka dot dress, which she had been seen wearing just the previous week, while she strolled around with a bouquet of flowers and a bag of fresh goodies.
Sporting a practical ponytail and comfortable sneakers, the celebrity chose to keep it casual for her outing. In a recent interview, Scarlett noted that the expectation to maintain a slim figure in the entertainment industry has intensified over time. According to the Black Widow star, prominent figures are now facing increased pressure to always appear thin and glamorous.
In an interview with Candis magazine, she expressed how actors have always been under pressure to maintain a slim figure. She mentioned a memorable scene from the movie All About Eve, where Bette Davis is seen struggling with the temptation of eating a chocolate, portraying the constant battle with body image and societal expectations in the industry.
‘I’ve always felt the pressure to look a certain way, and it’s only gotten more intense over time,’ the celebrity shared. She emphasized her preference for a ‘natural’ eating plan, striving to maintain a balance between being slim and staying healthy.
She mentioned, “I prefer to stay at a healthy, slender weight. However, there’s a right and wrong way to achieve that. Personally, I don’t want to risk my health by resorting to eating disorders. I believe in staying fit naturally.” Scarlett also emphasized the importance of maintaining her privacy in a dignified way. She explained, “There are different approaches to safeguarding your personal life. Some may choose an aggressive stance, but I opt for a more low-key approach, which comes naturally to me. I don’t worry about my public image as much as I do about how my close ones perceive me.”
